Working from my home studio in the coastal town of Gnarabup, Western Australia, I create decorative and functional ceramics as well as paintings. Surrounded by the ocean and the natural beauty of the landscape, I draw constant inspiration from the forms, textures, and quiet, rhythms of the world around me.
My work is grounded in traditional porcelain techniques, with most pieces hand-thrown and then shaped further through carving, etching, piercing, and inlaying glazes onto fine porcelain. These processes allow me to add subtle character and depth while honouring the material’s delicacy and strength.
I approach each piece using gentle forms and thoughtful details to reflect the quiet elegance found throughout the natural world. Working with porcelain gives me a way to translate my connection to nature into sculptural forms that feel peaceful and full of life.
through my ceramics, I hope to share the sense of wonder I feel in the natural world.
It is a privilege to live and work on the Boodja of the Wardandi People of the Noogar Nation. To recognise the continuing relationship and connection the Wardandi people have to the land, seas and skies of this place, and pay my respect to their Elders past and present.
